DEPARTMENT OF MICROBIOLOGY, VIROLOGY AND IMMUNOLOGY

     The department was established in 1929 under the name "Department of Epizootology, Microbiology, Virology and Veterinary and Sanitary Expertise". After the foundation of the Samarkand Institute of Veterinary Medicine in 2018 y, it functioned as the "Department of Epizootology, Microbiology and Virology", and since 2022 y it has been operating as the "Department of Microbiology, Virology and Immunology" within the Samarkand State University of Veterinary Medicine, Animal Husbandry and Biotechnology.

     V.S. Zarubkinsky, K.P. Chepurov, I.I. Arkhangelsky, Sh.T. Rasulov, A.M. Akhmedov, N.G. Shatokhin, H.K. Burkhonova, M.P. Parmanov, H.K. Bozorov, Z.Zh. Shapulatova and Z.E. Ruziev worked at this department as heads of the department.

     Currently, the department employs 17 teachers, including 2 professors, 1 Doctor of Sciences, 2 associate professors, 3 candidates of Sciences and 10 assistants. The department has 1 computer classroom equipped with modern computers, as well as a modern laboratory "Veterinary microbiology, virology and Immunology". In addition, the scientific circle "Young infectious diseases" operates at the department.
