ONLINE ADMISSION FOR FOREIGN STUDENTS


    Foreign citizens are admitted to educational institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan on a paid-contract basis and, if not otherwise stipulated by the legislation or international agreements of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in accordance with the procedure established for citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The cost of studying on a paid-contract basis in educational institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan is determined by the State Commission for Admission to Educational Institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan, based on proposals from the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan, agreed with the Ministry of Finance and other ministries and agencies.

    Foreign citizens with an educational background corresponding to general secondary education are admitted to secondary specialized and vocational education institutions. Foreign citizens with an educational background corresponding to general secondary or secondary specialized vocational education may be admitted to higher educational institutions.

    Foreign citizens are admitted to bachelor’s degree programs of higher educational institutions based on the results of an interview conducted in accordance with the procedure established by the institution itself. The results of the interview are reviewed by the State Commission for Admission to Educational Institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan and serve as a basis for the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan to make a decision on the admission of foreign citizens to higher educational institutions. Based on the order of the Minister of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the heads of higher educational institutions issue relevant orders for admission to study.

    Foreign citizens with an educational background corresponding to higher education may be admitted to basic doctoral programs (PhD) and doctoral programs (DSc). Foreign citizens applying for doctoral studies must provide a thesis abstract or an officially certified list of published works prepared in accordance with established requirements.

    The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, based on the request of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan, ensures the issuance and extension of visas, temporary registration, and extension of the period of temporary registration at the place of residence for foreign citizens.

    After completing their studies, foreign citizens are issued educational documents of the established sample. During their studies, foreign citizens may come to the Republic of Uzbekistan with their family members and other relatives in cases specified in agreements and contracts.

    Foreign citizens arriving for studies must undergo a medical examination. The procedure for medical examinations and the list of diseases that disqualify candidates from admission to educational institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan are determined by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

List of documents and submission procedure

Foreign citizens submit the following documents to the relevant educational institution for admission to educational institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan:

· application for admission to study;

· original copies of documents indicating the subjects studied and the grades (scores) obtained in the exams;

· abstract or officially approved list of published works (for those entering the basic doctoral program);

· medical report on health;

· national passport (with valid visa) or birth certificate;

· 6 photos size 4 x 6 cm.

The procedure for submitting and reviewing documents is determined in accordance with the instructions approved by the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education and the Ministry of Public Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The cost of studying in bachelor's, master's, and doctoral programs implemented in collaboration with leading foreign universities is determined according to the contract amount for the relevant fields, specialties, and qualifications.

To further expand the university's potential for international cooperation, an additional 3% surcharge is introduced to cover the costs of the university's participation in international projects.
