Dmitry Morozov, an international expert from the United Nations World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH), visited the Samarkand State University of Veterinary Medicine, Animal Husbandry and Biotechnology today, as part of his visit to the Committee for the Development of Veterinary and Livestock of the Republic of Uzbekistan and its system organizations.
The purpose of the visit is to assess the system of advanced training of veterinary specialists in Uzbekistan and the possibilities of introducing a system of training paraveterinarians.
During the meeting held by international expert Dmitry Morozov in the conference hall of the University with the participation of professors, masters and students, information was provided on invasive and infectious diseases common in animals, and a question-and-answer session was held.
In addition, during the visit, the international expert talked with employees of veterinary and livestock organizations on issues related to the field.
During the conversation, they exchanged information on the activities of veterinary laboratories, the knowledge of specialists, their systematic training courses, as well as the activities of veterinary departments. They talked about the problems that plague veterinary specialists.
The guests got acquainted with the existing educational and scientific laboratories at the university, the incubator for training scientific and pedagogical personnel - the vivarium, organized within the framework of the Mega project launched at the university, designed for practical classes, examined the work being carried out and gave their recommendations.
