WE ARE NOT INDIFFERENT TO THE FATE OF GRADUATES!

Becoming a graduate of higher education is a very joyful and exciting event not only for graduates, but also for parents and teachers. Because in the image of young people who have conquered the second rung of the difficult ladder of knowledge, we see another practical result of their efforts, the future of our people and our Motherland. At the Samarkand State University of Veterinary Medicine, Animal Husbandry and Biotechnology, thanks to many years of work in the educational process, young people have achieved bachelor's and master's degrees, thanks to the assessment given by teachers.

It is worth noting that a number of systematic works are being carried out in our country to further expand the coverage of young people with higher education and, on this basis, ensure the employment of graduates. It is not for nothing that the opportunities created are being mobilized so that those who have them can receive free education and make a worthy contribution to the development of the new Uzbekistan in various spheres of the state and society. This is based on noble goals such as a prosperous life, a free and prosperous homeland, a healthy future, and a happy life.

In this regard, it is worth mentioning that at the videoconference meeting dedicated to priority tasks for ensuring the employment of students of higher educational institutions, held on March 4 of this year under the leadership of our President, it was determined that ensuring the employment of students studying in higher educational institutions who need to work and earn additional income was one of the important tasks.

A number of positive works are also being carried out at our university to fulfill this task.

In particular, in the 2022/2023 academic year, 1,067 thousand students graduated from the university. 911 of them were provided with employment. 825 of the students who were provided with employment were hired in their specialties, while in the 2023/2024 academic year, a total of 1,309 students graduated from the university in 19 full-time bachelor's degrees and 5 master's degrees in 4 specialties. 4 students graduated with honors and received preferential diplomas.

Complete information about these students was provided to the regional departments through the ministry. This is of particular importance in ensuring the employment of graduates.

Also, on April 27 of this year, an open dialogue and a "Career Day" were held at the university on the issue of ensuring the employment of graduates in their specialties. Representatives of enterprises and organizations with vacant positions participated in the labor fair, which was held in cooperation with the Samarkand regional branch of the State Service Development Agency, the Committee for the Development of Veterinary Medicine and Livestock, and the regional Main Department for Poverty Reduction and Employment.

According to the results of the survey, 658 students expressed a desire to work, and 380 students received a referral for employment. Of these, 201 signed a contract.

Another thing is that the university has started organizing internships for students in large, stable enterprises, organizations, clusters, and leading companies in foreign countries starting in 2022, which is an important factor in helping graduating students choose their desired career and life path. It is worth noting that the university has established partnerships with more than 60 large companies, clusters, and other enterprises, and plans to provide employment for 1,500 students by the end of the year.

In order to ensure the implementation of the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On radical reform of personnel training in the field of veterinary medicine and animal husbandry” dated March 31, 2022, the university has developed an action plan to improve the training of qualified personnel in the field of veterinary medicine, animal husbandry and food safety, and to organize veterinary education at the level of world standards. Based on this plan, the university is implementing joint projects with a number of prestigious foreign higher educational institutions, companies and organizations in the fields of education, science and other fields.
