The international scientific-practical conference of the Department of "Plant Science and Fodder Production" on the topic "Problems in fodder production, their solutions and future tasks" will be held at Samarkand State University of Veterinary Medicine, livestock and Biotechnologies on March 14-15, 2024. started his work.The Rector of Samarkand State University of Veterinary Medicine, livestock and Biotechnologies, Professor Kh. Yunusov, who opened the conference, spoke about the scientific and practical researches that have not yet been carried out on increasing feed production, feed storage, processing, effective use of existing feed crops and their implementation in our republic. Emphasizing that there are problems with its introduction, there is a need for research on the supply of livestock with high-quality food that meets zootechnical requirements, and our scientists who are currently working in the field of fodder production Scientific research is being conducted on the selection of fodder crops that can withstand drought and water shortage and the development of their resource-efficient technologies, the prevention of desertification in natural pastures and desert regions, the selection of drought-resistant varieties and the primary seeding of desert fodder crops said that the work has started. In addition, at the present time, to conducting scientific researches in the field of forage cultivation and improving the quality of forage, there are more than 8 textbooks, 12 study guides, and many methodological instructions for bachelor's and master's students in this direction. that it was prepared and published based on the requirements, that the results of the completed scientific research were published in the form of monographs, letters of recommendation, brochures, and at the same time, professors, teachers, doctoral students, masters and talented students in the journals of the Scopus, Web of Scienes magazines at the university it was noted that many articles of students are being published. Also, A. Safarov, head of the Veterinary and Livestock Development Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, who participated in the conference online, and others expressed their opinions on the topic.
