The delegation led by the chairman of the executive committee of the Vitebsk region of the Republic of Belarus A. Subbotin, accompanied by the deputy governor of the Samarkand region R. Qabilov, visited the university. The members of the delegation visiting our country for bilateral cooperation were welcomed by the university rector, professor H.Yunusov and the chief officials. During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the current status and prospects of mutually beneficial cooperation with higher education institutions of the Republics of Uzbekistan and Belarus, including SamDVMChBU and its partners in Belarus, Vitebsk State Academy of Veterinary Medicine and other HEIs.
Specific agreements were reached on joint educational programs in cooperation, expansion of scientific and methodological work on issues relevant to both sides, development of exchange programs for students and professors at a new stage.
During the meeting, the head of the delegation, A. Subbotin, was awarded the title of "Honorary Professor" by the Rector of SamDVMChBU, H. Yunusov.
Also, souvenirs with symbols of Uzbekistan, ancient Samarkand were handed over to the guests of honor.
Doctor of biological sciences, professor A. Subbotin is a close friend and partner of SamDVMChBU. Subbotin, a graduate of the Vitebsk State Academy of Veterinary Medicine and a parasitologist by profession, actively participated in many projects between the Republic of Belarus and Uzbekistan in the fields of agriculture, animal husbandry and veterinary medicine, as well as education, and always supported this cooperation.
In particular, "Plan of joint activities for 2021-2025 on the implementation of the Agreement between the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus and the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan", as well as the activities of the Intergovernmental Joint Commission on bilateral cooperation between Uzbekistan and Belarus for the development of both countries important decisions were signed.
