During the new academic year, based on the characteristics of the departments of the educational institution, it is planned to attract professors and teachers of foreign partner HEIs to the University and work in cooperation.
Today, the first of such classes was started by Dmitry Nikolayevich Fedotov, associate professor of the Vitebsk Academy of Veterinary Medicine, a close partner of the university.
In the lecture, D.N. Fedotov told the students that sex cells - (gametes), are divided into male and female sex cells and differ from each other in morphological and physiological characteristics, that the male sex cell - spermatozoon - consists of head, neck, body and tail parts, its head He explained in detail that the nucleus is located in the middle part, surrounded by cytoplasm, and in the front part of the head there is a sheath (acroblast), inside which lies an acrosome (Greek: acrom - dense, soma - body) in the form of a dense body.
At the same time, female animals - reproductive cell, ovum, have a number of characteristics, in addition to the general characteristics common to all cells:
1. Availability of nutrients necessary for the development of a new organism;
2. Division of specific layers that protect the egg cell from the harmful effects of the external environment;
3. In an interesting way, he informed the students about the polar structure of the cell, that is, the existence of poles of different structures.
At the end of the lecture, students received answers to their questions.
During the academic year, about 100 professors of the partner HEIs are scheduled to conduct such lectures and practical training.
