Ravshanbek Matlyubovich Tashtemirov was born in 1953 in the Ishtikhan district of the Samarkand region. He is Uzbek by nationality and holds a higher education degree. In 1976, he graduated from the Samarkand Agricultural Institute. He holds the title of Candidate of Veterinary Sciences.
In 1983, based on research conducted during his postgraduate studies, he defended his candidate dissertation on "Age-related changes in the skeleton and muscles of the pelvic limbs of Karakul sheep in the foothill regions of Uzbekistan."
As a result of his scientific studies, for the first time in the Republic, macro- and microscopic age-related changes in the pelvic limb muscles of Karakul sheep in postnatal ontogenesis in the foothill regions were investigated, along with their regional characteristics. The growth and development patterns of lambs born in spring and summer were also studied, leading to scientifically grounded recommendations for the seasonal preparation of Karakul sheep for lambing campaigns.

R. M. Tashtemirov is a member of the scientific seminar at the Scientific Council DSc.06/30.12.2019.V.12.01., where he actively participates in discussions of doctoral dissertations.
Currently, he holds the position of Professor of the Department of Veterinary Surgery and Obstetrics, is a member of the Mentors' Council of the Faculty of Veterinary Prevention and Treatment, and actively participates in the university's public activities.
