K.N. Norboev was born in 1949, received higher education, and graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the Samarkand Agricultural Institute in 1972, specializing as a veterinarian. Since 1972, he has been working at the Samarkand Agricultural Institute (now Samarkand State Institute of Veterinary Medicine), holding the title of Doctor of Veterinary Sciences and Professor. In 1980, he defended his dissertation on the topic "Diagnosis and Prevention of Protein-Mineral Metabolism Disorders in Sheep within the Framework of Dispensarization" at the Moscow Veterinary Academy named after K.I. Skryabin, and in 1991, he defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic "Toxic Dystrophy of the Liver in Sheep during Fattening" at the Saint Petersburg Veterinary Academy, specializing in 16.00.01 — Diagnosis and Treatment of Animal Diseases. Since 1994, he has been working as a professor.
K.N. Norboev is a recognized scientist in the field of veterinary medicine, enriching science with his personal scientific achievements and significant international scientific results.
K.N. Norboev is the organizer and head of the veterinary therapeutic scientific school in the field of Causes of liver diseases, metabolic disorders, and infertility in cattle and sheep, creation of effective methods of prevention and treatment. In this area, 6 candidates of science, 3 PhDs, and 4 DSc have been trained.
K.N. Norboev has published 285 scientific works, including 3 textbooks, 6 study guides, 5 author's certificates, 2 patents, and 23 recommendations/letters. 45 of his articles were published in foreign journals, and 54 in journals recognized by the Russian Science Citation Index (OAC).
K.N. Norboev created 9 new veterinary drugs: Vitamic, Microvit, LPP-1, electrolyte rehydration mixture, Rat, Dezocar, Ovariotropin, DOB, Ruminagent, as well as a recipe for combined feed in granulated form, enriched with vitamins and minerals for cattle and sheep. New veterinary drugs and combined feed, enriched with vitamins and minerals, have been registered in the agency "Uzstandart" and are produced at the enterprise "ZAFAR" PMJ, which he heads. They are widely implemented on livestock farms in Samarkand, Navoi and Bukhara regions of the Republic.
Under his leadership, the following scientific and practical projects were carried out:
1. QXA-11-283 - Prevention of endemic animal diseases in the Zarafshan Valley to increase their productivity (2005-2008);
2. QXA-9-115 - Development of effective methods for preventing metabolic disorders and infertility in cows in Uzbekistani farms (2012-2014);
3. QXA-9-039-1-2015 - Improving treatment and prevention methods for non-infectious diseases in calves (2015-2017);
4. Within the framework of international scientific cooperation, he participated in the “Uzhelth” project to improve public health and training in the higher education system of Uzbekistan under the 544445-TEMPUS-1-2013-1-IT-SMHES program (Order No. 170 / 16.04.2014).
He is participating in the “Twinning” project on veterinary medicine training, jointly with the University of Minnesota, USA, for 2020-2024.
K.N. Norboev is the deputy chairman of the scientific council for awarding scientific degrees DSc.06/30.12.2019.V.12.01. at Samarkand GUVMB, and since 2009 has been the chairman of the scientific seminar at this council. He is also the chairman of the methodological commission of the faculty of veterinary prevention and treatment. He has been awarded honors for the 20th anniversary (2011), 25th anniversary (2016), and 30th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan (2021), badges "Veteran of Veterinary Medicine of Uzbekistan" (2022), and the title "Best Veterinary Mentor of the Year" (2017).
