The Department of Veterinary Pharmacy was established in 2021 in accordance with the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 3775 dated June 5, 2018 “On improving the quality of education of higher educational institutions and ensuring their active participation in the comprehensive reforms being implemented in the country” and the Resolution No. 187 dated March 31, 2022 “On radically improving the system of personnel training in the field of veterinary medicine and animal husbandry”. The department employs a total of 16 professors, teachers and staff, including 3 associate professors, 1 senior lecturer, candidate of veterinary sciences, 1 PhD, 1 PhD, and 7 assistants, as well as 1 laboratory head and 2 laboratory assistants. The department has created all the conditions for training bachelors and masters on the basis of modern pedagogical technologies. Students' theoretical knowledge is inextricably linked with practice, including at the Uzbek-British-Russian joint venture "Uzbiokombinat", the Bulgarian-Uzbek joint venture "Integra DD", the joint stock company "Samarkand Dori-darmon", the Samarkand regional forestry department, the Veterinary Research Institute, and the existing regional departments of the Republic "Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Development". Educational and qualification practices are carried out on the basis of the contracts. A cooperation agreement has been signed with the South Kazakhstan University named after "Mukhtor Auzov" of the Republic of Kazakhstan. On this basis, students are given lectures, practical training and laboratory exercises using modern pedagogical technologies. The department has established training for bachelor's and master's degrees in the specialty 60840200-"Veterinary Pharmacy" and master's degrees in the specialty 70840201-"Organization and Management of Pharmaceutical Work".
