December 8 is such a day for our people.
On this day, the General Council of the Republic of Uzbekistan - the Constitution was adopted.
the constitution reflects the will, mentality, social consciousness and culture of the people. It contains the ideas that stimulate the development of society and serve as an important moral factor. the ideology embodied in the constitution leads the society, the people towards specific goals, and mobilizes them to achieve them. in particular, the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan constitutes the legal basis of the idea of   national independence and the ideology of independence, reflects the aspiration of our people for independence, freedom, national moral and spiritual values   and conveys them to the consciousness of the society, especially to the consciousness of the young generationserves to absorb.the constitution is a legal guarantee of our rights and freedoms, our national and universal values, social justice and solidarity, our commitment to the principles of democracy and state sovereignty. The above-mentioned qualities and characteristics of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan testify to its unparalleled influence, weight and dignity, it is the legal foundation of independence and the legal guarantee of our great future.
As the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, stated, "Our head of state recognized the guarantee of equality of citizens of our country, regardless of gender, race, nationality, language, religion, social origin, and created the ground for modern democratic development. it is for this reason that we should honor our Constitution with respect, study it comprehensively, follow it consistently, and inculcate the great heritage of our ancestors and universal human values   embodied in our Basic Law into the hearts of our youth."
I congratulate all our compatriots on the 31st anniversary of the adoption of the main law of the Republic of Uzbekistan - the Constitution.
May the peace of our country and the well-being of our people, our independence be eternal!
