WHAT IS THE MEGA PROJECT, WHAT ARE THE PURPOSES AND TASKS?

At Samarkand State University of Veterinary Medicine, Animal Husbandry and Biotechnology, the mega project "Scientific business incubator for intensive training of personnel for the development of veterinary, biotechnology and animal husbandry in Uzbekistan" was launched.  This project incorporates all possibilities in order to establish an effective system of training of scientific personnel, commercialization and introduction of scientific research into production, organization of student practice and creation of a full self-financing mechanism.Within the framework of this project, a modern experimental vivarium clinic, a base of educational and scientific laboratories will be formed.  They are equipped with advanced technological equipment and highly qualified personnel are prepared through intensive training of personnel in the fields of veterinary, animal husbandry, biotechnology, agrotechnology, and agro-economics.  The main thing is that the scientific potential will increase sharply, and bachelor's and master's students will be fully used in the teaching process, as a result of which innovative science-education, science and production will be connected.
 The main goal of the project is to intensively train personnel for the development of veterinary, biotechnology and animal husbandry in Uzbekistan, to establish a scientific business incubator, and to develop and implement new methods and tools based on innovative ideas.
 The main tasks of the project are to establish a modern scientific innovation center that serves organizations and the population, to attract researchers working in the fields of veterinary, animal husbandry, biotechnology, agrotechnology and agro-economics, to introduce the development and scientific innovations obtained from the results of scientific staff research into production practice,  establishment of beneficial cooperation, training of highly qualified scientific personnel for the agricultural clusters of the republic, as well as gradually ensuring the financial independence of the university and sharply increasing the scientific potential.Preparation of highly qualified scientific personnel in the fields of veterinary and animal husbandry for the Nukus and Tashkent branches of the university, introduction of the development and scientific innovations obtained as a result of the scientific research of scientific personnel into the production practice of the republic in the fields of veterinary, animal husbandry, biotechnology and agrotechnology, prompt treatment of non-infectious and invasive diseases  organization of diagnosis and development of modern, effective methods of prevention and treatment of these diseases, continuous control of the quality of food products obtained from the animal and plant world, by high-precision scientific analysis of risk factors for humans and by providing scientifically based recommendations for practice  expected results will be achieved.(Films from the seminar-training at the enterprise "PureMilky Works" specialized in the production of natural milk and butter products, one of the largest companies in Uzbekistan)
 Today, the project consists of 46 scientific teams, including 33 performers under the age of 40, 8 performers under the age of 45, 5 independent researchers under the age of 60, masters and students conducting their scientific and research work on more than 14 animal species.  .
 Today, the scientific research experiments carried out by the members of the project for 6 months have been approved 7 times, the number of articles published in journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science international scientific and technical databases, 25 in journals with a high impact factor, OAK  86 articles were published in republican scientific journals, 24 in foreign scientific journals, 18 in international conferences and 42 in national scientific-practical conferences, 2 recommendations, 1 monograph and 6 certificates were received.
 In Scopus, Web of Science and Google Scholar international scientific and technical databases of project participants, the number of participants with Hirsh index (h-index) of 5 and higher is 7.
 In order to train highly qualified personnel, 5 of the participants of the project received short-term qualifications at the world's top 1000 higher education institutions, Turkey's "Dokuz Yelul University", Kazakhstan's "Kazakh National Agrarian Research University" and "Mukhtar Avezov University of Kazakhstan", as well as scientific research institutes.  and did an internship.
 Within the framework of the mega project, 1 start-up projects were formed and recommended for regional competitions.  The total cost of the proposed project is 50 mln.  com.
 One of the project participants, son of Khudoykulov Islamjon Abdurahman, became the owner of the Beruni state scholarship established for the 2023-2024 academic year.
 As a result of the project, 24 people of veterinary sciences, 2 people of agricultural sciences, 4 people of doctor of philosophy (PhD) in biological sciences and 9 people of veterinary science, 4 people of agricultural sciences and 3 people of doctor of biological sciences (DSc) for the agricultural clusters of the republic are high  qualified scientific personnel are trained.

 In general, this mega project and the results expected from it are the target parameters and main directions of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated February 8, 2022 "The program for the development of the livestock sector and its branches in the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2022-2026" - stable supply of livestock products to the population  and expansion of production opportunities in animal husbandry and its branches, serves to ensure effective implementation of the state policy on ensuring food safety in this area.
 The main goal of the mega project is the training of highly qualified scientific personnel from global issues of food safety, animal husbandry and biotechnology, as well as strengthening quality control in the livestock industry, increasing the production of competitive products for export, and infrastructure in the livestock and veterinary industries.  It consists of impartial experience and testing of scientific and research works in the implementation of the most priority principles, such as the development of services based on their internal capabilities.
