                                                                       Biography
Head of the Department of Social Sciences and Humanities, Physical Training and Sports, Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Pedagogical Sciences, Doctor of Science Narzieva Nargiza Norkuzievna in 1996 graduated from bachelor's degree, and in 2002 - master's degree from Samarkand State University. Currently, she is a free researcher for SamSIFL, 13.00.01–Theory of Pedagogy. She conducts research on his doctoral dissertation (DSc) on the topic "Improving the mechanisms for the development of research competencies of future veterinary specialists in the New Renaissance" in the specialty: History of Pedagogical Teachings. She has published more than 20 articles in journals with a high impotence (Web of Science, Scopus) and is the author of 1 textbook in co-authorship, 1 textbook in co-authorship and electronic textbooks.

The Department of Social and Humanitarian Sciences, Physical Training and Sports was established in 2018 in the year of formation of the Samarkand Institute of Veterinary Medicine.  Since 1929, the first rector of the institute was Doctor of Philosophy, Professor V.V. Makaveev and he lectured to students on philosophy. V.V. Makaveev simultaneously with the performance of the duties of the rector of the institute, headed the department of philosophy. Then lectures on philosophy were given by Professor, Vice-President of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan I.M. Muminov, A.D. Rodschild and A.X. Mozitov.  During this period, the department was called the Department of Social and Economic Sciences. In 1965, the Department of Philosophy was established as an independent department. The Department of Philosophy was headed by Associate Professor M.M. Ahmadov for many years. In recent years, the department has changed its name several times: "Philosophy and Scientific Communism" to "Social Sciences", "Philosophy and Political Science". And in 1987, the three departments of social and political sciences functioning at the institute were united by ...In 1996, on the basis of the Department of Social Sciences, two departments were created: "Economic Theory and History of Uzbekistan" and "Philosophy and Political Science". In 2000, the Department of Pedagogy, Psychology and Teaching Methods was created, which was headed by Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences N. Khamraev, E. Nasimov. In different years, well-known scientists of our country I.M.Muminov, A.M.Aminov, A.G.Svetlichny, A.Usmanov, S.Akhtamov, S.A.Sodikov, N.Naimov, Sh.Suleymanov, A.D.Rodschild, O.E.Kodirkulov, M.Mallaev, A.G. Osipov, K.Y. Yarboev, Kh.X.Siddikov, R.Mamadiev, E.Hajiyev, T.Saidkulov worked at these departments. The department "Theory of Economics and History of Uzbekistan" until 1997 was headed by Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor T.Daitov. In subsequent years, S.Nazarov, Kh.Normuradov, O.Turgunbayev were the head of the department. The Department of Philosophy and Law until 1997 was headed by Candidate of Philosophical Sciences, Associate Professor T. Sattorov. The Department of Humanities of Samarkand Agricultural Institute was established in 2004. Currently, the department is headed by Associate Professor N.N. Narzieva. The department works in close contact with the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the National University of Uzbekistan, Tashkent Pedagogical University, the Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, Samarkand State University, Tashkent State Agrarian University, Samarkand State Architectural and Construction Universities in scientific and scientific-methodical areas.
A total of 37 scientific articles were published in the 2021-2022 academic year. Of these, 5 were published in international journals, 11 in republican journals, 8 at international conferences, 13 at republican and university conferences. The staff of the department makes a significant contribution to the socio-political life of the university, to the conduct of spiritual and educational, political and educational work among students and employees. The staff of the department conducts its activities in accordance with the plan for the academic year, at the meetings of the department the state of educational, educational and methodological, research work, spiritual, educational and educational work is continuously analyzed, decisions and recommendations are developed aimed at improving work in this area.
