The Department of Accounting and Audit was established on August 30, 2024, based on the Department of Economics and Accounting, following the decision of the University Management Board (Protocol No. 3 dated August 27, 2024) and the University Council (Protocol No. 1 dated August 29, 2024), as part of the organizational structure of Samarkand State University of Veterinary Medicine, Livestock and Biotechnologies.
      Over the years, the department has been headed by Doctors of Economics and Professors N. Sanayev, A. Alikulov, and Associate Professors T. Kudratov, D. Kholbayev, M. Kholmurzaev, and G. Sanayev. Currently, the department is managed by U.T. Eshmuradov.
      The Department of Accounting and Audit is a graduating department with a faculty consisting of 1 professor, 1 senior lecturer, and 8 assistants.
The department runs a student academic club called "Young Accountant" under the "Mentor-Student" system.
The department has established strong partnerships with internationally recognized institutions ranked in the TOP-1000 of the QS World University Rankings, including: Kazakh National Agrarian Research University (#641-650 QS World University Rankings), Almaty University of Technology (#801-850 QS World University Rankings), State Biotechnological Universities of Ukraine.
