An international scientific and practical conference on the topic "Current state and development prospects of horse breeding in Uzbekistan" was held in the hall of activists of SamDVMCHBU on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the birth of the famous scientist, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor D. Kholmirzayev, who made a worthy contribution to the development of agriculture in our country and the training of specialists in the field.
The conference was attended by luminaries, scientists in the field, representatives of the media, professors, specialists from scientific centers operating in the system, young scientists and students.
Opening the conference with an introductory speech, the rector of the university, Professor Khudaynazar Yunusov congratulated the famous scientist, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor D. Kholmirzayev, who made a worthy contribution to the development of agriculture in our country and the training of specialists in the field, on his 80th birthday. He noted with satisfaction that D. Kholmirzayev has supervised more than 10 masters of horse breeding and camel breeding, 4 doctoral theses of agricultural sciences and a doctor of philosophy, has been a supervisor and advisor to 2 doctors of philosophy and 3 doctors of agricultural sciences, and is currently a consultant to the Federation of Horse Breeding and Equestrian Sports.
Also participating in the conference were the Head of the Department of the Committee for the Development of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Husbandry A. Safarov, Professor of the Kazakh National Agrarian University A. Ombayev, Professor of the K.A. Timiryazov M.A. Yuldoshev, Director of the All-Russian Research Institute of Horse Breeding A. Zaysev, Professor of Osh State University A. Abdurasulov, Director of the Tajik Academy of Sciences Branch, Professor M. Kasimov, Editor-in-Chief of the Joint Editorial Board of the newspapers "Zarafshon" and "Samarkandsky Vestnik" F. Toshev, and others. They noted that the teacher published about 300 articles, including 9 textbooks, that he made a significant contribution to the research and development of the field as one of the first representatives of the horse breeding school in our country, and that he was the first among scientists from the CIS countries to write a textbook on camel breeding for higher educational institutions.
Also, during the conference, it was proudly noted that the scholar, who has a worthy place in the world of science and society, is the head of a large and united family, with five children and nine grandchildren who, with his education and advice, are working as accomplished specialists in various fields, and that the eighty-year-old scientist is still working hard on the path of science and pursuing the goal of doing something new.
