A REPUBLICAN SCIENTIFIC AND PRACTICAL CONFERENCE WAS HELD AT SAMSUVMLB ON THE TOPIC "MEGA PROJECT: INTENSIVE TRAINING OF HIGHLY QUALIFIED SCIENTIFIC PERSONNEL IN THE FIELD OF VETERINARY MEDICINE, ANIMAL HUSBANDRY AND BIOTECHNOLOGY."




At the beginning of the conference, the rector of the university, Professor Kh. Yunusov, touched upon the goals and objectives of this Mega Project, noting that this project embodies all the possibilities for establishing an effective system of training scientific personnel, commercializing and introducing scientific research into production, organizing student internships, and creating a mechanism for full self-financing.


At the time of the project's establishment, there were 34 researchers conducting scientific research within the framework of the "Mega Project", (21 of whom are Doctors of Philosophy (PhD), 13 of whom are Doctors of Science (DSc), today there are 40 professors and teachers within the project (24 of whom are Doctors of Philosophy (PhD), 16 of whom are Doctors of Science (DSc), 5 master's degree students and 7 bachelor's degree students in the "Ustoz-Shogird" system, who are constantly conducting their scientific research on 14 species of animals (in particular: horses, cattle, sheep, goats, bees, turkeys, chickens, quails, rabbits, fish and laboratory animals). It is noteworthy that specialists working in the district and regional departments are conducting scientific research within the framework of the Mega Project, becoming highly qualified specialists, and their dissertation topics are published in the bulletin of the Higher Attestation Commission. is being carried out.

    The process of passing qualification exams for scientific researchers in specialties and foreign language subjects is being carried out systematically, and researchers are receiving qualification exam certificates.

    Today, 7 Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and 4 Doctor of Science (DSc) candidates who conducted research work within the framework of the “Mega Project” have completed their research work and have entered the stage of formalizing documents in the appropriate manner for submission to the department for discussion.

    In general, this mega project and its expected results meet the target parameters and main directions of the “Program for the Development of the Livestock Sector and Its Industries in the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2022–2026” of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated February 8, 2022 - to ensure the effective implementation of state policy on sustainable provision of livestock products to the population and expansion of production opportunities in livestock and its industries, ensuring food security in this area

    Also, the head of the department of the Veterinary and Livestock Development Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan A. Safarov, head of the Kashkadarya region Veterinary and Livestock Development Department Sh. Eshmatov, professor of the Veterinary Research Institute H. Salimov, professor of the SamDVMCHBU Q. Norboyev spoke at the conference and noted that the goal of the mega project is to train highly qualified scientific personnel in the global issues of food safety, animal husbandry and biotechnology, as well as to strengthen quality control in the animal husbandry sector, increase the production of competitive products for export, and develop infrastructure services in the animal husbandry and veterinary sector based on their own internal capabilities, and noted that the goals set in this regard have been achieved.

    Also, During the conference, associate professor of the university Z. Shopulatova gave lectures on the topics “Mega project - the success of our scientific research, the increase in scientific potential, the role of providing our Republic with qualified scientific personnel”, independent researchers Feruz Kurbonov “The course, spread and measures to combat saprolingiasis and protozoa in carp fish”, Begzod Jambilov “Biological characteristics of Orenburg breed goats by sex in the climatic conditions of Uzbekistan”, and Bakhodir Ibragimov “Biological aspects of morpho-physiological and reproductive characteristics of rabbits in postnatal ontogenesis”.
