GREEN UNIVERSITY
Within the framework of the national project "Green Space" developed and approved by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated September 27, 2024 No. 03/20-2/12-225, the order of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated September 18, 2024 No. 05/1-3053, and the order of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated March 7, 2024 No. 144-F/25, it is planned to plant 2,000 seedlings in the spring season and 800 seedlings in the fall season in higher, secondary specialized and vocational educational institutions, based on the "forecast indicators".
In the spring of 2024, 35 juniper seedlings were planted on the territory of the university as part of the “Green Space” nationwide program.
In the “Sports and Recreation Camp” at the university, 100 walnuts and 250 cherries, a total of 350 fruit trees and shrub seedlings were planted.
In the Samarkand Veterinary Medical College, 1,200 mulberries and 500 cherries, a total of 1,700 fruit trees and shrub seedlings were planted.
Also, in the spring season, a total of 2,035 fruit trees and shrub seedlings were planted and counted by inspectors of the Department of Ecology and Environmental Protection of Samarkand city and Nurabad districts, and certificates were issued.
In the fall of 2024, as part of the nationwide program "Green Space", 10 ash trees, 10 acacia trees, 20 mulberries, and 10 junipers, a total of 50 fruit trees and shrubs were planted on the territory of the university.
In the "Sports and Recreation Camp" at the university, 100 cherry trees and 200 apple trees, a total of 300 fruit trees and shrubs were planted.
In the "Aqdaryo Training and Experimental Range" at the university, 500 mulberries and a total of 500 seedlings were planted.
Also, a total of 850 fruit trees and shrubs were planted in the fall season and were counted by inspectors of the Department of Ecology and Environmental Protection of Samarkand city, Aqdaryo district, and Nurabad districts, and certificates were issued.
In the Samarkand region, within the framework of the nationwide project "Green Space", in accordance with the "Plant planting program for planting seedlings of ornamental, fruit trees and shrubs in the spring and autumn seasons by higher education institutions, branches, academic lyceums and vocational education institutions under the control of the Samarkand regional Department of Higher Education, Science and Innovations in the spring of 2025" of the plan-schedule for planting tree seedlings in educational institutions and their adjacent areas based on the forecast indicators of planting ornamental, fruit trees and shrubs in the spring of 2025, our university is scheduled to plant 850 seedlings based on the forecast indicators of planting ornamental, fruit trees and shrubs in the spring of 2025.
