Happy Teachers' and Mentors' Day — October 1st

Dear and respected teachers, dear colleagues!

From the bottom of my heart, I sincerely congratulate you on October 1 - Teachers' and Mentors' Day, an important date that holds a special place in our lives, a symbol of respect for science and devotion to enlightenment!

On such a happy day, I express my deep gratitude to you, kind teachers, for your hard work and honorable work in creating the future of New Uzbekistan and the foundations of the Third Renaissance, expressing the high respect of our country and our university team of many thousands of people.

Dear professors and teachers!

As noted by the Honorable President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, special priority is given to the field of education and science in our country. This is a clear proof of the fact that in recent years the expenses for education and science have doubled, modern educational and scientific research laboratories have been established, and most importantly, the work and responsibility of teaching staff has been duly appreciated.

In particular, the new opportunities announced by the head of our state for teachers - preferential loans for pedagogues, housing and household support measures, state services and reliefs for children's education - give each of us unlimited pride and responsibility.

I can say with great pleasure that every professor of the Samarkand State University of Veterinary Medicine, Animal Husbandry and Biotechnology has his own scientific school, rich experience and modern teaching methodology. You, dear ones, have been fulfilling the sacred task of training modern, qualified and competitive personnel for the economy, agriculture, veterinary, animal husbandry and biotechnology sectors of our country, combining scientific and research activities with practice.

Dear teachers!

It is no coincidence that today we are celebrating the holiday at Samarkand State University of Veterinary Medicine, Animal Husbandry and Biotechnologies, one of the most prestigious schools in the country, which trains highly qualified personnel for veterinary, animal husbandry, biotechnology and agricultural fields.

The history of this institution began in 1929 and has been contributing to the training of qualified specialists for years. In 2018, at the initiative of the head of our state, the Samarkand Institute of Veterinary Medicine was established, and in 2022, in order to improve the personnel training system in the field, the present university was founded on its basis.

Over the course of almost a century of history, thousands of specialists were trained, scientific researches and studies were conducted, and a unique school based on experience and traditions was formed.

Today, the university has 5 faculties and 20 departments. The educational process is organized in 19 undergraduate majors and 27 master's majors, and nearly 6,000 students are studying here. More than 380 professors and pedagogues work in the university team.

We consider increasing the prestige of the teaching and coaching profession in our society and in the life of our university a permanent priority. I am sure that you, as worthy successors of the great traditions that produced great enlighteners in the history of our country, will make a worthy contribution to the development of mature specialists for the modern agricultural sector and science.

On behalf of the team of our university and personally, I congratulate all teachers and coaches on this auspicious professional holiday once again! I wish you all good health, family peace, energy and new scientific victories. May you always be in the attention and friendship of our country and your students!

Happy holiday, dear teachers!

Sincerely,

Hudaynazar Yunusov,

Rector of Samarkand State University of Veterinary Medicine, Livestock and Biotechnology, Professor
