HAPPY INTERNATIONAL VETERINARY DAY!

Hello, dear university staff, professors, teachers and students! I sincerely congratulate you on the holiday of "International Veterinary Day"!
In order to instill in society the importance of the veterinary profession and its significance in the development of humanity, to raise the prestige of veterinary organizations and veterinarians, in 2000, at the initiative of the International    Veterinary Association and the International Organization for Animal Health, a decision was made to designate the last Saturday of April every year as "International Veterinary Day".
The veterinary sector, along with maintaining animal health, plays an important role in protecting the population from diseases common to humans and animals. The work carried out by veterinarians around the world to maintain animal health ultimately focuses on human health.
In the delivery of food products to the population, from the farm to the table, veterinarians play a key role. And this process is unimaginable without the volunteers of the sector.
The development of veterinary infrastructure in our country contributes to epizootic and epidemic stability in the regions, providing the population with safe and edible food products, and the development of international trade relations.
It is no secret that humanity is facing a number of problems that require a global solution. One of them is the spread of infectious diseases that arise in the environment where humans and animals live in interaction. Diseases cause significant economic damage to many countries, as well as endangering human life. In our country, all legal foundations have been created in this regard, and preventive measures against epizootics are being taken in accordance with the     Law "On Veterinary Medicine". As a result, the introduction and spread of infectious diseases dangerous to humans and animals from abroad is prevented, and a stable epizootic situation is maintained.
Today, the veterinary profession is recognized as a sector that ensures food security in the world. Also, in developed countries, high salaries are paid to people with this profession.
Our university has many future plans and projects that are planned to be implemented in the future. These projects will undoubtedly serve to improve the well-being of our people and ensure food security. Taking this opportunity, on behalf of the team of the Samarkand State University of Veterinary Medicine, Livestock and Biotechnology, we would like to congratulate the representatives of the industry, officials and specialists of our country on the International Veterinary Day and wish you good luck in your responsible and honorable profession!
