A scientific and practical conference was held on this topic at the Faculty of Biotechnology of the University
The rector of the university, professor Kh. Yunusov, participated in the conference and spoke about such environmental problems as desertification, deterioration of the gene pool of flora and fauna, and reduction of biodiversity, and the work being carried out by our scientists in this regard.
Also, the chairman of the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan, Samarkand Regional Council B. Abdullayev spoke on the topic “Climate change, its negative consequences and current problems”, the head of the Department of Ecology and Environmental Protection T.J. Hoshimov spoke on the topic “Climate change and current measures to protect the environment”, and the head of the department, professor N. Khalilov spoke on the topic “Saving water resources and protecting the environment”.
