VETERINARY SURGERY AND OBSTETRICS: A DISCUSSION OF INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE AND MODERN APPROACHES

On October 29, 2026, an international scientific-practical conference titled "Innovations, International Experience, and Modern Approaches in Veterinary Surgery and Obstetrics" was held at the Samarkand State University of Veterinary Medicine, Livestock, and Biotechnologies, initiated by the Department of Veterinary Surgery and Obstetrics.

The event brought together 120 participants—including local and foreign scientists, faculty members, practicing veterinarians, doctoral candidates, master’s students, and undergraduates—who attended both in-person and online.

Foreign participants represented scientific and educational institutions from Russia, the USA, Latvia, Portugal, Turkey, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkmenistan. They expressed their deep gratitude to the university rector for the opportunity to participate, as well as to the department staff for organizing the conference.

SCIENTIFIC PRESENTATIONS AND KEY ISSUES
During the conference, seven scientific presentations were delivered, focusing on pressing issues in the fields of veterinary surgery, obstetrics, oncology, and reproductology. Specifically, discussions covered the ultrasound-based diagnosis of feline infectious peritonitis, emergency reproductive surgery in dogs and cats, the detection of pyometra, the treatment of mammary tumors, the management of ovarian hypofunction in cows, and treatment methods for actinomycosis in cattle.

SCIENTIFIC COLLABORATION AND EXCHANGE OF EXPERIENCE
The conference proceedings were organized into three thematic sessions focused on innovative diagnostic and treatment methods in veterinary surgery, the promotion of animal reproductive health, and the integration of international experience and scientific research.
PRACTICAL SIGNIFICANCE AND FUTURE PROSPECTS
The conference played a vital role in facilitating the implementation of advanced diagnostic and treatment techniques within veterinary practice, expanding the exchange of expertise between scientific institutions and clinical facilities, and identifying promising avenues for collaborative scientific research.
The scientific findings and clinical experiences presented at the conference will contribute to enriching the professional knowledge of young specialists, safeguarding animal health, and enhancing the quality of veterinary services.
