A meeting took place between Kalmyk State University and our university aimed at fostering cooperation in the fields of education, science, and practical application.

During the visit, the delegation was introduced to Kalmyk State University’s research activities, modern laboratories, and scientific-practical centers specializing in livestock farming and veterinary medicine. Specifically, information was provided on the operations of the breeding center, molecular-genetic analysis and comprehensive analytical laboratories, the artificial insemination station, the veterinary clinic, and experimental farms.

The activities at these centers include evaluating livestock pedigree and productivity, conducting genetic research, collecting and storing frozen semen, and providing veterinary services. The meeting also addressed research focused on the use of genetic technologies in livestock farming, whole-genome sequencing, the improvement of breeding processes, and the enhancement of meat productivity and quality.

The parties explored opportunities for developing joint research in veterinary medicine, livestock farming, genetics, breeding, and biotechnology; exchanging experience among faculty and students; strengthening practical training; and implementing joint projects and educational programs. At the conclusion of the meeting, an agreement was reached to expand mutually beneficial cooperation in the fields of education and science, exchange scientific expertise, and continue collaboration on the implementation of joint projects in the future.
