The Job Fair and Career Day were recognized as an important date for university graduates.
On June 9 of this year, a job fair and career day for university graduates were held at the Samarkand State University of Veterinary Medicine, Livestock and Biotechnology.
The event was attended by the university's head and all graduates, as well as heads of employing enterprises and organizations and heads of departments of the OTFIV.
During the event, the rector of SamSUVMLB, Professor Kh.B. Yunusov, announced that in the 2025-2026 academic year, a total of 597 full-time graduates in 23 educational areas, a total of 631 part-time graduates in 11 educational areas, and 58 graduates in 29 master's specialties will graduate, and a total of 1,286 graduates will graduate from the university. It was emphasized that the timely implementation of the instructions given by the head of our state at the meeting on issues of ensuring the employment of graduates of higher educational institutions on August 8, 2025 is one of our urgent tasks today.
At least 60% of graduates scheduled to graduate in 2026 will be fully employed by the end of this month. For this purpose, the heads of large employers in our republic and the region are signing agreements on direct employment and employment at job fairs during career days in order to select qualified and competitive personnel. As a result, the demand for potential personnel is being significantly satisfied, and as a result, the sustainable development indicators of the economy of our republic are increasing.
During the event, the Head of Department of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Akhmadjon Mukhammadsaid oglu Makhmudov, also expressed his views on today's event, emphasizing that every year 2-3 times more personnel are being trained in our republic than in previous periods, and it is necessary to increase the direct responsibility of each leader for the timely employment of these personnel, develop necessary measures and ensure their timely implementation.
It was also noted that in accordance with the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PQ-61 dated February 14, 2025 “On additional measures to assist graduates of higher education institutions in finding employment”, the Step to the Future program of the National Bank of Uzbekistan has been fully launched, and as a result, proposals and recommendations were made to provide direct support to young people wishing to start their own businesses and to provide them with the necessary conditions in a timely manner.
