In connection with this date, a seminar on the topic “Promising solutions for rational use of land resources and improving water efficiency” was organized at SamSSUVMLB by the Executive Committee of the Central Council of the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan and deputies of the eco-faction in the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis on the occasion of “April 22 - World Earth Day”.


The seminar was attended by the rector of the university, professor Kh. Yunusov, deputy of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, member of the Committee on Ecology and Environmental Protection Z. Rakhmanova, deputy of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, member of the Committee on Ecology and Environmental Protection Q. Kasimova, chairman of the executive committee of the Samarkand regional party organization of the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan Kh. Mukhammadiyev and others. They emphasized that water resources are of great importance for many ecosystems in Uzbekistan, including rivers, lakes and reservoirs, that careful treatment and management of water resources leads to the preservation of biodiversity, improvement of water quality, and allows the preservation and development of ecotourism, and in general, water conservation is an important factor in helping the country adapt to climate change and mitigate its negative impacts, such as a decrease in drinking water, an increase in the risk of fires and droughts. emphasized.



Also, at the seminar, speakers gave presentations on topics such as “Environmental protection under state control: practical approaches and problems on the ground”, “Measures to save water in the Zarafshan valley in conditions of water resource shortage”, “Scientific foundations of rational use of land resources”, “Modern concepts of water resources management”, “Legal foundations of land and water resources in Uzbekistan”, “Experience of introducing drip irrigation technology”, “International experience and analysis of land resource use”, “State of agricultural lands of the region: violations and their legal basis”.
The seminar was held in a lively atmosphere with questions and answers.
