SCIENCE AND WOMEN: TOWARDS A SUSTAINABLE SOCIETY



   On February 11, a scientific and practical seminar on the topic "Science and Women: Towards a Sustainable Society" was held at the Samarkand State University of Veterinary Medicine, Livestock and Biotechnology. The event was attended by women scientists and managers, who focused on the issues of expanding the role of women in scientific activity. The speakers gave presentations on the commercialization of scientific innovations, expanding grants and internship programs, ensuring gender stability, and creating positive conditions for women. At the end of the seminar, women scientists who achieved high results were awarded.

   A scientific and practical seminar on the topic "Science and Women: Towards a Sustainable Society" was held at the Samarkand State University of Veterinary Medicine, Livestock and Biotechnology on February 11, dedicated to the "Day of Women and Girls in Science".


At the beginning of the event, the guests were the Deputy Governor of Samarkand region, Head of the Department of Family and Women Saidova Zebo Behbudovna, Rector of Samarkand State University of  Architecture and Construction, Professor Chidem Janbay Turkyilmaz, Chairman of the Samarkand regional "Olima" association, Academician of the Turan Academy of Sciences, Professor Aslanova Dilbar     Khasanovna, and representatives from regional higher educational institutions who participated in the exhibition of scientific and innovative developments of women scientists of SamDVMCHBU and got acquainted with the projects.

   The event was opened by the Rector of SamSUVMLB, Professor Yunusov Khudaynazar Beknazarovich with an introductory speech. In her speech, she specifically touched upon the role of women in society, the enlightenment of women scientists, and the incomparable role of scientists in the development of science.

    The speakers who spoke during the seminar gave presentations on issues related to further increasing the prestige and position of women in scientific activity - helping scientists solve social problems in a timely manner, creating organizational opportunities for conducting research, eliminating the problem of gender discrimination in scientific activity, establishing prestigious scientific awards for women scientists, expanding research grants, foreign internship programs, increasing academic mobility of scientists, commercializing innovative ideas, launching social support projects, and developing effective solutions for the further development of the field.
    At the end of the seminar, our scientists from Samarkand who achieved high results in the field of science were awarded with certificates of appreciation by the Samarkand Regional Department of Family and Women's Affairs and the rector of the Samarkand State University of Veterinary Medicine, Livestock and Biotechnology.
