SamSUVMLB organized an "Open Doors" Day event to inform the general public about the work being carried out within the framework of the "Corruption-Free Area" project and on the occasion of December 9 - International Anti-Corruption Day


The event was opened by the rector of the university, academician Khudaynazar Yunusov, who noted that in accordance with the resolution of the United Nations General Assembly of November 21, 2003, since 2004, December 9 has been designated as "International Anti-Corruption Day", and that establishing a zero-tolerance attitude towards corruption in society is an extremely urgent issue, and although responsible agencies have been designated within the framework of its implementation, each person must feel responsible for its full implementation.


He also noted that the efforts of the Anti-Corruption Department of the University to early detect and prevent corruption cases, eliminate their causes and conditions, prevent conflicts of interest, and form an uncompromising attitude towards corruption are achieving positive results.

Also speaking at the event, the Head of the Anti-Corruption Department of the University of Tashkent, F. Turayev, expressed his views on the priority tasks of state policy in the fight against corruption, the purpose of the Compliance Control system, combating corruption, preventing it, ensuring openness and transparency in assessing corruption risks, introducing advanced modern mechanisms into the process, and improving the legal and institutional framework in this regard.

He noted that the main directions of state policy in the field of combating corruption are raising the legal awareness and legal culture of the population, and in this regard, the formation of an uncompromising attitude towards corruption in society.

During the event, the winners of the "Best Pictures" competition on the topic "Youth Says No to Corruption" and the essay competition on the topic "Let's Fight Corruption Together" held at the university on the occasion of December 9 - International Anti-Corruption Day, were awarded certificates of honor and souvenirs by the university administration.
