"WE, THE YOUTH, ARE AGAINST DRUG ADDICTION AND AIDS"
In order to ensure the implementation of the instruction letter of the Samarkand regional administration dated January 31, 2025, an awareness-raising event on this topic was held at the Samarkand State University of Veterinary Medicine, Animal Husbandry and Biotechnology.
The event was attended by medical epidemiologists of the Samarkand Regional AIDS Center Sh. Arziyev and P. Kholbozorov, advisor to the rector Z. Shodmonov, head of the Department of Youth Work, Spirituality and Education B. Sayitmurotov, and the university's prevention inspector, captain B. Nayimov.
Students and young people were warned about the harmful effects of drugs, as well as the fact that their consumption or sale is against the law, the early signs of AIDS and HIV, methods of transmission, and what restrictions are imposed on patients with the disease.
