Bakirov Bakhtiyar graduated from the Samarkand Agricultural Institute in 1978. In 2016, he received the academic degree of Doctor of Veterinary Sciences (DSc) in the specialty 16.00.01 - Diagnosis, therapy and surgery of animal diseases, and in 2018, he was awarded the title of Professor. He has published over 300 scientific articles, 3 monographs, 5 recommendations, 5 textbooks, and 10 study guides. Under his supervision, 3 doctors of science and 25 masters have been trained. Currently, he is supervising the training of 7 doctors of science.
Professor Bakirov B. has attended professional development courses, participated in seminars, trainings, and webinars, and lectured at leading foreign universities (EMU, Estonia, 2017; UNIC, Cyprus, 2018; Troitsky SAU, Russia, 2019). He regularly delivers online lectures to students and faculty at universities in Central Asia (TSHI, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021; Osh State University, 2021; KazNAI, 2023, 2024), focusing on current issues in veterinary science and practice.
Professor Bakirov B. worked as head of the department from 2011 to 2020 and won the Best Teacher nomination in 2017.
On the background of active participation in events aimed at implementing the tasks specified in agricultural reforms carried out in our republic, Professor Bakirov B. conducts active educational work on creating a healthy lifestyle environment for students and in the fight against corruption.
Bakirov B. for his conscientious work has been awarded badge pins "Shock Worker of the Tenth Five-Year Plan" (1980), "To the 20th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan" (2011), "To the 30th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan" (2021), "Veterinary Devotee of the Republic of Uzbekistan" (2022).
At present, Professor Bakirov B. is a member of the Scientific and Technical Council under the Committee of Veterinary and Livestock Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a member of the specialized academic council DSc.30.08.2018.V.12.01 at SamSUVMLB and chairman of the public council at SamSUVMLB
