Department: history and present 
The Department of Agrotechnology, Production Mechanization and Automation of the Samarkand State University of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology was established in the 2022-2023 academic year. 2 professors, 1 doctor of science, 4 associate professors, 5 senior teachers and 3 assistants work in the department. Scientific competence is 62.5%.
Agrometeorology, basics of farming, pasture and pasture melioration, fruit and vegetable growing, soil science and agrochemistry, plant protection, forestry, agricultural mechanization, automation, engineering graphics, livestock mechanization, technical means of automation are studied at the department. Lessons are conducted in rooms equipped with computers and video projectors based on the use of pedagogical technologies.
"Agromukhandis" scientific group and laboratory of soil science and agrochemistry work regularly in the department. In addition, the department has published 8 textbooks, 15 study guides, 5 monographs, more than 100 scientific articles and theses. At present, the department is conducting master's specialization and doctoral courses.
