Participants of the 31st session of the European Regional Commission, led by the Head of the World Organization for Animal Health, Emmanuel Subeyran, accompanied by Bahrom Norqobilov, Chairman of the Committee for the Development of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Husbandry of the Republic of Uzbekistan, visited SamDVMCHBU. The guests were welcomed by the team led by the rector of the university, Professor Khudaynazar Yunusov, with traditional Uzbek hospitality - bread, salt and flowers.
The rector gave the guests a description of the monument depicting the first veterinarian, installed at the entrance gate of the University, in front of the main building, and briefly touched upon the life and activities of the university. The guests also got acquainted with the traditions and values, national costumes prepared by the students.
At the event in the “Palace of Culture” of the university, the rector of the university, Professor Kh. Yunusov, thanked the guests for their visit and noted that the “twinning program” established with the University of Minnesota in the USA was implemented with the assistance of this organization, as a result of which the veterinary science programs and educational materials were brought into line with world standards and the duration of the course was extended to 5 years, and that such positive results as the fruit of this cooperation are the fruit of this cooperation.
Deputy Chairman of the Committee for the Development of Veterinary Science and Livestock Abror Akbarov also touched upon the issues of further development of cooperation established by the university and the Committee with this organization.
At the event, the head of the World Organization for Animal Health, Emmanuel Subeyran, was awarded the academic title of "Honorary Professor" of the Samarkand State University of Veterinary Medicine, Animal Husbandry and Biotechnology and presented with commemorative gifts.
In a project simulation developed by the university's professors, doctoral students and masters at the initiative of the Chairman of the Committee for the Development of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Husbandry, doctoral student J. Yulchiyev gave his recommendations on the topics of "Development of regulatory documents on the use of artificial intelligence in veterinary practice", and assistant A. Hotamov gave his recommendations on the topics of "Abandoning inhumane methods such as keeping poultry in cages and moving to alternative methods."
Also, the creative students of the university performed heartwarming songs and dances.
