Hello, dear veterans, dear colleagues! First of all, I would like to sincerely congratulate you all on May 9 - the Day of Memory and Honor.
As you know, it has become a tradition in our country to widely celebrate May 9 as the Day of Memory and Honor. On this great day, we all, first of all, bow our heads before the sacred memory of our compatriots who did not return from the battlefields and pay tribute to their pure souls. We bow to our veterans who showed courage and bravery on the battlefields, worked selflessly behind the front lines, and are among us today. We express our endless gratitude to them for our current peaceful life and clear sky. Remembering ancestors and honoring the elderly is considered a great value, and in this regard, respect and attention to the elderly and enlightened are in the spotlight in the programs adopted annually in our country. May 9 is widely celebrated in our country as the "Day of Memory and Honor" with great festivities, in which the memory of the brave and steadfast men who died fighting for peace on the war and labor fronts of 1941-1945 is remembered, and the honoring of our heroes who showed courage on the war and labor fronts is considered a reflection of the values inherent in our people. Uzbeks have always been a peace-loving people. We have a great national and spiritual heritage dedicated to the promotion of this idea. In all of them, the appreciation of peace is promoted, and war is completely condemned. It is precisely this noble goal and idea that underlies the recognition of May 9 as the Day of Memory and Honor as a national holiday. There are many war participants among us, those who worked hard behind the front lines. Remembering the dead and appreciating those who have served in our ranks is a priority of our government's policy, and every year national heroes are duly encouraged. The people and state of independent Uzbekistan have always stood out as supporters of peace and harmony. The publication of the 35-volume book "Memory" during the years of independence was also a significant work for their memory. Currently, the names of war victims are also inscribed in golden letters on the iron "notebook" installed in the "Memory Square". A person comes to this world to live happily. All blessings are for Man and his benefit. And we are indebted to them for our peaceful and prosperous days today!
I congratulate all our compatriots once again on May 9 - the Day of Memory and Appreciation.
