On 7th mart 2024 at the Samarkand State University of Veterinary Medicine, livestock and Biotechnology on March 8 - "International Women's Day" with the theme "You are still holy, you are a holy woman" under the motto "Respecting a woman is a noble value of our nation"took place.The rector of the university, Professor Hudaynazar Yunusov opened the festive event with a congratulatory speech.
"Out of 794 professors, teachers and workers of the university, 298 are women, 1769 of our 6248 students are girls.
dedicated scientists and young researchers, researchers or these women working in other departments of the educational institution are the pride and glory of our university. They give beauty and meaning to university life!
one more thing, I can happily say that this year, 25 of the researchers engaged in scientific activity at the university defended their doctor of philosophy (PhD) theses, 7 of them are women.
Also, 3 of the 5 state scholarship holders are female students, and we are rightfully proud of them!" - said the rector of the university, professor H. Yunusov in his speech.
during the event, the order of the rector of the university was read out by Alibek Gapporov, the first vice-rector for youth issues and spiritual-educational affairs. according to it, on the occasion of the holiday, it was announced that monetary awards were allocated to women and girls working in the educational institution.
Teachers who have been working at the university for many years and are currently retired added more joy to the event. special respect was shown to them and holiday gifts were presented. Also, the rector of the university read out the greeting of the chairman of the Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Development Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the women of the university. "Certificate of honor" and "Thank you note" of the rector of the university were presented to selfless women and women who rendered special service in the field of education.
Performances of creative students of the university enlivened the circle. after that, all the guests continued the event around the holiday table.
