The Sustainability Office at Samarqand State University of Veterinary Medicine, Livestock and Biotechnology (SSUV) serves as the central hub for promoting sustainability across campus. Its mission is to integrate environmental, social and economic sustainability into the university’s operations, education, research and community outreach. To position SSUV as a regional leader in sustainable development by integrating the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into every aspect of university life — including education, research, campus operations and community engagement.

Sustainability Team 

The sustainability team at Samarkand State University of Veterinary Medicine, Livestock and Biotechnology consists of dedicated professionals committed to promoting sustainable development across the university. Led by a Sustainability Director, the team includes specialists in energy management, waste reduction, transportation and environmental education. Together, they develop and implement policies and initiatives aimed at minimising the universitys environmental footprint and enhancing social responsibility.

    The team collaborates closely with academic departments, research units and administrative divisions to integrate sustainability into all aspects of campus operations, teaching and community engagement. Hatamov Akbar-Sustainability Manager

   The head of the Sustainability Team at Samarkand State University of Veterinary Medicine, Livestock and Biotechnology (SSUV) oversees the planning, development and implementation of key  sustainability initiatives, policies and programs. His leadership focuses on fostering collaboration across departments and building strategic partnerships with national and international organisations to advance the universitys sustainability goals. Through his guidance, SSUV continues to strengthen its commitment to environmental responsibility, resource efficiency and the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Xasanov Jahongir-Energy Manager

    His role focuses on developing and implementing energy conservation strategies that enhance the universitys overall sustainability performance. This includes managing energy-efficient building systems, optimizing energy use across campus facilities and overseeing renewable energy projects that reduce carbon emissions. Through these initiatives, the Sustainability Office at SSUV contributes to building a greener, more energy-resilient campus and promotes the responsible use of natural resources in line with global sustainability standards.

Tursunboyev Asilbek-Sustainability Coordinator

   The Sustainability Coordinator at Samarkand State University of Veterinary Medicine, Livestock and Biotechnology supports the Sustainability Manager in the planning and execution of campus-wide sustainability initiatives. His responsibilities include collecting, analysing and reporting sustainability data to monitor progress toward the universitys environmental and social goals. By ensuring accurate performance tracking and continuous improvement, the Sustainability Coordinator plays a key role in advancing SSUVs commitment to sustainable development and accountability.

Abdullayeva Shaxzoda-Transportation Coordinator

  The Transportation Coordinator at Samarkand State University of Veterinary Medicine, Livestock and Biotechnology is responsible for developing and implementing sustainable transportation initiatives that reduce the universitys carbon footprint. This includes organising bike-sharing programs, promoting carpooling systems and establishing partnerships with public transportation services to encourage eco-friendly commuting. Through these efforts, the Transportation Coordinator supports SSUVs mission to create a greener, more accessible and environmentally responsible campus.
