Peace and tranquility are very important for a person. In order for him to work, achieve his goals and make plans for tomorrow, he needs peace first.
It is no exaggeration to say that since the beginning of mankind, there have been many destructive wars, the most terrible of which was the Second World War.
It is more than 70 years since the end of the war. This is the time equivalent to the average life of a person. Only those of us older than this age have seen wartime with their own eyes or felt its horrors.
The years after the victory were not easy, of course. It is also true that the complications and hardships of this struggle are imprinted in the memory of mankind for a lifetime, and some people are scarred in their hearts.
Our livers, compatriots died in this war...
As we observe the details of history, our hearts are shaken by the fact that 1 million 433 thousand 230 people from Uzbekistan took part in the Second World War, more than 604 thousand of our compatriots returned home disabled from the battlefields, and more than 450 thousand of our compatriots died in bloody battles and remained in foreign lands.
The fate of post-war workers does not leave us indifferent. They were among those who made a worthy contribution to the victory.
As long as there is a person, memory is sacred. No one, nothing is forgotten. The people will not forget the war, its heroes, and anyone who made a worthy contribution to the victory, even in order to preserve and appreciate the peaceful times of today.
Uzbeks have always been a peace-loving people. We have a great national and spiritual heritage dedicated to the promotion of this idea. In them, the value of peace is promoted, and war is completely condemned.
May 9 is recognized as a national holiday as the Day of Remembrance and Appreciation.
There are many war veterans among us, those who worked hard behind the front. Commemorating those who have passed away and appreciating those who are in our ranks is one of the priority tasks of our government's policy, and national heroes are encouraged every year. The people and the state of independent Uzbekistan first appeared as supporters of peace and harmony.
Therefore, during the years of independence, May 9 is celebrated as a national holiday, and since 1999, it has been celebrated as the Day of Remembrance and Appreciation.
The announcement of May 9 as the Day of Remembrance and Appreciation is a sign of the humanization of politics in our country, and the return of the dignity of the state to man. Every Uzbek who died in the war was a child of our Motherland. None of us have the right to forget them.
The publication of the 35-volume "Memory" book during the years of independence was also an important work for their memory. Currently, the names of the victims of the war are written in golden letters on the iron "notebook" installed in the "Memorial Square" of the capital of our country - Tashkent
In addition, today those who died in the war in Afghanistan are remembered as innocent victims of Soviet politics, and the memory of military personnel and law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty during the years of independence is honored.
At the center of this world is Hazrat Inson. Man comes to this world to live happily. All blessings are for Man and his benefit.
We are indebted to them for our peaceful and prosperous days today!
I congratulate all our compatriots on May 9 - Day of Remembrance and Appreciation.
May our country be peaceful and our sky always clear!
Let it be true that wars remain in history!
Let's appreciate the peaceful and prosperous days, dear ones!
Sincerely, Khudaynazar Yunusov
