“CAREER DAY” was held at the university

In cooperation with the regional branch of the State Service Development Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, today at Samarkand State University of Veterinary Medicine, Livestock and Biotechnology, an open dialogue on the topic "Training of modern personnel, systematic support of talented young people, prospects of ensuring employment of graduates in their specialties" and "Career Days" was held. - a job fair was held. The event was attended by the graduating students of the university. At the same time, a number of systematic works are being carried out in our country to systematically support talented young people who have graduated from higher education institutions, to guide them to the profession, as well as to ensure the employment of graduates, and in this process, to target the cooperation of interested state bodies and institutions. The fair and the event are another practical implementation of these goals.
The Rector of the University, Professor Yunusov, opened the event and welcomed the guests. He informed employers and representatives of the responsible offices of the regional government about the educational center and the specialists being trained here. In particular, today the University has 7 faculties, part-time, master's departments, and specialists are trained on the basis of the joint education program, and a total of 6164 students and graduate students are studying in them. In the current academic year, there are 705 graduates in 14 full-time undergraduate courses, 214 in 10 part-time courses.
"- Our university has sufficient educational, methodological and material-technical base for all educational directions and master's degrees, there are 11 modern laboratories, more than 350 professors are teaching students, and our scientific competence is 41%. There are all conditions for education, increasing the integration of science, education and production, training of modern personnel that meets the requirements of the labor market will remain our main task, says A. Elmurodov, vice-rector for educational affairs, doctor of agricultural sciences.
Feruz Abilov, the deputy governor of the region for agriculture and water management issues, Khurshid Nazarov, the head of the Samarkand regional branch of the State Service Development Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Alisher Nurullaev, the head of the regional veterinary and animal husbandry department, and other official leaders of the region participated in the open dialogue and answered the questions of the graduating students. .
The leaders gave detailed information about what kind of specialists are in demand in the field of agriculture and veterinary science today, what knowledge and skills specialists should have when entering the government bodies and organizations, new projects expected in the field of veterinary science and agriculture in the region, promising tasks.
During the dialogue held in an open spirit, the issues related to the fundamental revision of the content of personnel training in accordance with the priority tasks for the socio-economic development of our country, systematic selection of personnel at the university, and creation of necessary conditions for the training of highly educated specialists in accordance with international standards were discussed. During the event, the chief inspector of the regional branch of the agency, F. Akhatov, presented a presentation to the participants of the event, students of the graduate stage, regarding the use of the vacancy.argos.uz and test.argos.uz platforms by the regional branch of the Agency. Teacher of the Samarkand Institute of Economics and Service, psychologist Umida Alibaevna Botaeva organized a training on the topic "Communication - an important factor in acquiring a profession" in order to enable students to communicate with employers in the future.
About 50 enterprises, organizations and livestock clusters of the region participated in the career day with more than 400 vacant positions and vacancies. The students of the third and fourth stages of the university are now given the opportunity to undergo production practices in enterprises and organizations where work is offered and to get a potential job in the future.
In addition, about 400 appeals were received. About 150 of the graduating students signed contracts with employers.
In the current academic year 2022/2023, 711 students - young people will graduate from the university.
