As part of the "anti-corruption month" dedicated to "December 9 - the International Anti-Corruption Day", approved by the minutes of the meeting of the National Anti-Corruption Council of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 10 of August 23, 2023, a roundtable discussion was held on the topic of the development of corruption.
Corruption is one of the global problems that need to be solved on a global scale. This vice seriously harms the political and economic development of any state and society, and leads to the violation of human rights and freedoms.
With students of the part-time department of the Samarkand State University of Veterinary Medicine, Livestock and Biotechnologies (120 people in total) with F. Turaev, the head of the management department of the University's anti-corruption "COMPLAENCE CONTROL" system, and Z. Shodmonov, the rector's adviser responsible for ensuring the stability of the social and moral environment among students organized a roundtable discussion in cooperation.
In the fight against corruption, the issues of legal education and training in the field of combating corruption in educational institutions are one of the important tasks of today, because people with high legal consciousness and legal culture and mature in terms of legal education and training do not allow corruption, which is a negative evil, to torture the society in various ways. opinions were exchanged that it is a terrible disease, that this disease undermines the foundations of democracy and the rule of law.
In his words, F.Turaev emphasized that corruption is a force that slows down the country's development and endangers the future, especially corrupt situations in the field of education are one of the urgent issues facing our country today, which has the main goal of training mature specialists and world-class personnel.
He also emphasized that every country that chooses the path of development and progress in the world should first of all fight against negative evils such as corruption, bribery and bribery. Students actively participated with their opinions in this roundtable discussion, which was held with the aim of forming an uncompromising attitude against corruption among students.
